The Property Unit in Ekerö Municipality is responsible for managing, building, and developing the municipality's buildings and operational premises such as preschools, schools, special housing, sports, and culture. The unit currently consists of 8 people and is located in the municipal building in newly renovated and pleasant premises. We are part of the community building administration along with the planning unit, building permit unit, environmental unit, outdoor environment unit, land and exploitation unit, and strategic unit.
Job Description
Security is a prioritized issue for the municipality. We are now looking for a security coordinator with extensive experience in property security for our Property Unit.
We are in a development phase – and we aim to grow carefully. Ekerö Municipality's unique environments, including both protected and historical areas, provide you with a unique combination of opportunities and challenges as we aim to preserve and develop the surroundings. You will be the municipality's specialist in property-related security, working closely with managers, project leaders, contractors, and municipal management. With shared commitment, we work at a fast pace - which requires both multitasking ability and organizational skills. As a security coordinator in the Property Unit, you will have an important and developing role in a community-critical operation. You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and developing security work within security technical systems and installations, such as locks, alarms, fire alarms.
- Access control systems and video surveillance in the municipality's buildings.
- Acting as a demanding and follow-up role during installations and maintenance.
- Planning and following up on fire protection inspections, etc., and ensuring that suppliers and contractors meet agreed requirements.
- Developing sustainable working methods and documentation for continuity and robustness within the area of responsibility.
- Participating in procurements and projects related to security technology.
- Being responsible for planning and budgeting future installations and projects.
- Monitoring new technology, legislation, and regulatory requirements in the security field.
- Representing the preparedness and continuity perspective related to the municipality's buildings and operational premises in municipal and administrative joint efforts, such as war and crisis management organization and risk and vulnerability analysis.
You will work preventively with the tenants and other relevant actors to counteract vandalism and risks within the municipality's property holdings and facilities. During renovations of the municipality's buildings, you will be the project leader for the security installations carried out and responsible for the contractors performing security work. In new constructions, you will collaborate with construction project leaders regarding security work. Furthermore, you will be responsible for, administer, and manage the daily operations of the municipality's computerized monitoring and incident reporting system concerning the municipality's properties and facilities.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with experience in security work related to buildings and premises.
To succeed in this role:
- Relevant post-secondary education
- Several years of experience in security technical installations within properties
- Experience in coordination and project work
- Good administrative skills
- Driver's license B
- Very good Swedish
We also hope that you meet the following qualifications:
- Experience from public operations
- Experience in participating in and conducting procurements according to the Public Procurement Act
- Preparedness issues related to the municipality's buildings and operational premises
- Certifications in security technology

You are structured, solution-oriented, and have a strong security awareness.
