Project Manager for LSS Operations in Arvika Municipality
We are glad that you are interested in working with us! Here in western Värmland, among vast lakes and lush forests, there is a strong glow that spreads warmth and light. The glow is our vision and guiding star. In the Arvika municipal group, approximately 2,700 competent employees work today. Welcome to join us!
Do you want to help develop the LSS operations in Arvika Municipality? Are you driven by creating equal living conditions for all?
As a project manager within Arvika Municipality, you will work to implement national goals locally, in collaboration with the Agency for Participation (MFD) and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR), by developing strategies, building collaborations, and ensuring that accessibility and equal living conditions permeate all areas of operations, addressing deficiencies, providing individual support, and working to prevent discrimination.
The role of project manager involves driving systematic development work, coordinating efforts, and following up on results to create a more inclusive society.
Arvika Municipality has been granted urban grants to develop disability issues for two focus areas: obtaining and retaining employment and equal health.
You will work to create forums, collaborations, routines, and working methods within the aforementioned focus area. You will work to make the voices of users/citizens heard. To some extent, you may coordinate in certain user cases where multiple actors are involved.
We are looking for a project manager who is interested in making a difference in the job. The work is challenging, varied, and meaningful, and you will truly contribute. You are interested in working with development and finding new paths and solutions. You can work independently but also function well in a team.
Initially, we in Arvika Municipality have been granted urban grants for 2026, which means that the role is initially a project employment, but an extension may be possible.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role of project manager, we see that you have:
- Social work education or other education/experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Experience working with disability issues.
- Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills.
It is advantageous if you as a project manager also have:
- Several years of practical work experience in disability operations.
- Experience working with labor market issues or mental health.
- Experience in strategic project management in municipal operations.
To succeed in the role of project manager, we see that you are independent, take initiative, and enjoy challenges and working towards established goals. You have good goal fulfillment and can see the bigger picture at a strategic level while managing operational tasks.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and your ability to contribute to our team.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a project manager include:
- Working in collaboration with the department head and other colleagues in the LSS department.
- Working independently based on an action plan that serves as the basis for granted funds.
- Creating collaboration forums, booking, and holding collaboration days.
- Writing independent and regular reports and also preparing final reports.
- Working to find working methods and routines for both internal collaboration and with external actors.
If you have questions about the position, you can contact Maria Björn (department head LSS), tel no 0570- 814 66.
Welcome with your application! Selection is ongoing, and the last application date is January 26, 2026.
