Student Assistant for the Insurance Department
Are you a student interested in a rewarding part-time job within the government? We are now looking for a student to join the Insurance Department to assist with the regulation of personal injuries or other damages.
The Kammarkollegiet acts as an asset manager, insurance company, procurement agency, and legal firm for the public administration. Among our many assignments from the parliament and government is to insure state operations. The Insurance Department of Kammarkollegiet essentially functions as the state’s insurance company, where we work with risk management and claims adjustment for government agencies and foundations. Our operations cover insurance areas such as personal, travel, business, and vehicle, totaling around 30 different insurance products. The Insurance Department is located in Karlstad and has over 40 employees distributed across three units and a staff. Kammarkollegiet is undergoing extensive digitization of the entire operation, and the Insurance Department is currently transforming our internal work processes and developing e-services for our clients.
We are now seeking student assistants who are studying in the social sciences and can support our personal injury adjusters in their work.
Job Description
We are looking for someone to handle claims within the state personal injury protection by independently managing incoming applications, requesting documentation, and communicating in writing with various parties, as well as handling different claims cases as needed. You will work closely with knowledgeable colleagues in the department.
Are you our new student assistant?
We are looking for someone who has:
- Ongoing academic education in the social sciences that Kammarkollegiet deems relevant for the position, with at least 60 approved higher education credits in the field
- Experience gained through either studies or work where you have analyzed information and drawn your own conclusions and made independent decisions
- Very good ability to work with digital systems and tools and can learn easily
- Ability to express yourself very clearly and well-formulated in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
As a person, you are driven, responsible, and enjoy working in a group with colleagues. You have excellent collaboration skills, are analytical, meticulous, and quality-conscious. You are positive and flexible and can adapt to the needs of the organization. You enjoy working independently with responsibility for your tasks.

More Information
This is a temporary position during the spring semester of 2026. The extent is up to 25%.
To be eligible for a position as a student assistant, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in full-time studies at the university level
- Have completed approved studies corresponding to at least 60 credits
- Not have started a doctoral program
The positions are located in our beautiful activity-based office in Karolinen, Karlstad. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.
