Financial Assistant for the Service Department
Do you see yourself as a service-oriented person who enjoys juggling multiple tasks? Then you might be our new colleague in the service department! We are currently looking for a financial assistant who will support all operations within the service department.
The service department is part of the Technical Administration, which works to ensure that the municipality's traffic environment is safe and accessible, and that children, youth, and the elderly receive nutritious and good food in our school operations and special accommodations. We are responsible for residents' access to clean and fresh water from the tap. We manage the collection of household waste and waste facilities, cleaning services for our administrative premises, contract and rental management, as well as service. We also oversee recreational facilities, parks, and playgrounds.
The service department is responsible for internal services in the municipal building, coordination of cleaning services (both external and internal), centralized vehicle management, and development of the municipality's meal services, as well as responsibility for preparation and serving kitchens.
In the administration, nearly 200 employees work with a focus on strategy, sustainability, collegial learning, and collaboration across boundaries - with the best interests of companies and residents in mind!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a financial assistant, you will provide financial support to all operations within the service department and have many points of contact, both internally and externally, such as with suppliers, internal orderers, and employees.
Your work will involve handling the coding of supplier invoices, performing internal and external invoicing, and assisting the department's various operations with financial documentation and administrative tasks.
The role also includes close collaboration with unit managers, vehicle coordinators, service coordinators, cleaning coordinators, administrators, and other functions that require financial support in their daily work.
QUALIFICATIONS
To apply for this position, you should have the following:
- at least a three-year high school diploma in finance or another education in the field that can be deemed suitable for the position
- experience in similar work
- good knowledge of IT and accounting.
If you also have previous experience working in public administration, the automotive industry/vehicle administration, and experience with the Raindance financial system, we consider this an advantage for the position.
To thrive in this role, it is important that you have the ability to plan your own work and take responsibility for your tasks. You should also be service-oriented and able to explain financial issues that may arise in a pedagogical manner.
The tasks require you to have the ability to work in a structured way and adapt to changing circumstances. Furthermore, you are engaged and actively contribute to the service department's development work and good work environment. We expect you to have good collaborative skills, where you listen and communicate constructively.
