International English School in Karlstad is now looking for a school administrator

IES Karlstad is a school for grades 4–9 with an international profile, where English is the primary language and teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English. We follow the Swedish curriculum and timetable.

We are now looking for a school administrator, with a preliminary start date for the position at the end of March.

The role of the school administrator includes tasks such as reception, switchboard, substitute coordination, archiving, sick leave reporting, mail handling, some maintenance of the staff room (ordering fruit/snacks, etc.), purchasing office supplies, and other office tasks.

You need several years of experience with similar tasks, and we require that you are flexible and can handle both Swedish and English in speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who is organized, efficient, and structured. You are a positive, social person with a service-oriented attitude. You enjoy juggling multiple tasks, are solution-oriented, and take initiative. You have strong computer skills and learn new systems quickly.

Requirements:

• Experience in administration or similar roles
• Very good computer skills
• Good knowledge of Google Workspace & Microsoft Office
• Swedish & English in speech and writing
• Criminal record check

Meritorious:

• Experience with the learning platform SchoolSoft
