About the position

We are looking for an accounting assistant for our internal finance function.

The finance function handles accounting for three legal entities; Karlstad Diocese, Clergy Salary Assets in Karlstad Diocese, and the Church of Sweden Youth in Karlstad Diocese. You will be part of a small team consisting of two accountants and another accounting assistant. Our working method is digital, and your tasks will primarily consist of ongoing financial tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable management, as well as ongoing bookkeeping. You will also be the contact person for the Church of Sweden's Payroll Service and handle some personnel and payroll administration, although the position does not include payroll preparation.

In addition to daily management, monthly reconciliations and some preparatory year-end work are also included. You will be a central part of support for colleagues both on-site and in our two forestry districts regarding questions related to ongoing financial management. You will also be responsible for tasks that are interconnected between payroll and finance, such as bookkeeping for payroll preparation. You will also have a defined role as support for colleagues regarding our time and travel reporting system, which will be replaced in the spring.

You will work in our newly renovated office premises in central Karlstad, where we have an activity-based working method.

We are looking for someone with an education in finance and at least a completed YH education in accounting or similar. A few years of work experience in the finance area is an advantage. You should have experience working in M365 and possess good knowledge of the systems.
