About the job

As a case officer, your tasks include making decisions in various population registration matters. In your daily work, you meet people from different backgrounds when you request additional information via phone, mail, and digital mailboxes in your contact with private individuals and other authorities.

Since we handle a lot of information in our processing, you need to be able to absorb and filter information, while we have a varied workday where we need to actively work with prioritization and structure. The content, breadth, and complexity of the work are determined by the needs of the organization, and you need to be flexible.

You plan your own workday and drive your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. We work in teams, and you have close cooperation with your colleagues in your team. The work is qualified, and you learn and gain new knowledge both broadly and deeply. If you are interested, you can also participate in various improvement and development assignments alongside your regular tasks. The work involves many contacts, for example with clients and other authorities. You have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.

You belong to Population Registration Section 1 or 2 at Population Registration Unit 3 in the Department of Tax and Property, located in Karlstad. In our sections, we are about 35 colleagues.

About you

You should also have:

• completed higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics, law, behavioral science, or social science
• current and relevant work experience from the public sector where you have worked with case management tasks.

It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience from the Swedish Tax Agency.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may start with a probationary period of six months.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
