As a communicator at Business Region Värmland, you will work with your colleagues on communication and marketing to showcase the many opportunities Värmland offers for investment and business establishment.

Administratively, Business Region Värmland is part of Region Värmland, and your employment is included in Region Värmland's communication department, located in Karlstad. This means you will work closely with colleagues in Business Region Värmland as well as colleagues in the Communication Department. Your mission

As a communicator, you are an important part of Business Region Värmland's mission to strengthen Värmland's attractiveness and attract more business establishments and investments to the region. In close collaboration with investment advisors and management, you contribute to ensuring that relevant information is produced, structured, and communicated in a professional and target group-adapted manner. The mission requires both strategic ability and operational capacity. You need to understand Business Region Värmland's role and needs and be able to translate that into clear and relevant communication. Therefore, the mission involves many varied tasks. For example:

• Strategic support: You provide strategic support in communication matters and are responsible for managing and developing Business Region Värmland's brand and communication strategy.
• Planning and implementation of communication initiatives: You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on communication and marketing initiatives based on established strategies and the approved operational plan. For example, conducting campaigns, making available and marketing vacant establishment sites, planning content for social media, developing the website, producing informational and marketing materials, etc. Much of the work you will perform yourself, but sometimes it may also involve being a client to an external agency.
• Content production: You can create engaging and relevant texts and content for our various communication channels, including the website, newsletters, social media, press releases, and printed materials.
• Graphic production: You can create and edit graphic materials based on established templates, such as PowerPoint presentations, social media posts, web content, and simpler printed materials. Good knowledge of PowerPoint and basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop are advantageous.
• Fairs and similar activities: You are responsible for Business Region Värmland's participation in fairs and similar events, from planning and producing materials to sometimes representing the organization on-site. Participation in conferences, company visits, and other representation may also occur.
• Internal communication: You support your colleagues regarding communication within the organization, which includes Värmland's 16 municipalities and Business Region Värmland's reference group, working group, and steering group. The role also includes dialog with business responsible and communicators to create participation in communication issues concerning Värmland's business community.

Travel within Sweden and internationally may be included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in media and communication science or other relevant education/experience
• Experience in both strategic and operational communication work
• Familiarity with collaborating in complex structures with many different parties
• Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
