Central Military Region is looking for an Executive Secretary
About the position
As an executive secretary, you will belong to the military region's staff and be part of the management support department. You will primarily support the military region commander, the deputy military region commander, the regional administrator, and the chief of staff.
Main responsibilities
- Support the military region management with calendar tracking, meeting bookings, and travel arrangements.
- Assist management regarding planning, coordination, implementation, and follow-up of daily routines.
- Administration of meetings and administration of purchases, bookings, and orders.
- Administration of meetings with both national and international participants.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- At least a high school diploma with an administrative or economic focus or equivalent educational background deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Current and relevant experience as an executive secretary or equivalent.
- Very good knowledge of the Office suite.
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
Personal qualities
As an executive secretary, you need to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and we see that you are flexible, reliable, and meticulous. The position involves both independent work and functioning well in collaboration with other functions in the staff, where your social and service-oriented skills are important. The workload in the staff can be high and require a high work capacity, good ability for quick processing, and efficiency. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Meritorious
- Experience and knowledge from working in the Armed Forces
- Experience with the PRIO system (SAP)
- Experience with the Armed Forces' document management system VIDAR
- Experience in handling confidentiality and classified documents
- Knowledge of additional languages beyond Swedish and English

Employment type: Permanent employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.
Employment rate: Full-time, daytime. Evening and weekend work may occur.

The Central Military Region (MR M) is a combat unit and an organizational unit where the Chief and Staff are located in Kungsängen. The organization consists of a Chief with staff, six training groups for training and support of the Home Guard, and about 7000 Home Guard soldiers organized into eleven battalions and several independent units.
The Chief of the Central Military Region with the regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders in solving tasks within the region. The region also serves as a link between the Armed Forces and civil society, actively cooperating with the county administrative board and region. If necessary, MR M also leads operations, for example, during national crisis situations and support to society. The military region solves tasks in peace, crisis, and war.
The organization and operational area of the Central Military Region encompass the geographical counties of Stockholm, Uppsala, Södermanland, Västmanland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. Training groups and Home Guard are present in each county.
