The Communications Unit, part of the Municipal Executive Office of Värmdö Municipality, is now looking for a confident, knowledgeable, and committed communicator who wants to help ensure the communication mission while one of our senior communicators is on parental leave.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a communication partner for one of our operational offices
• Strategically plan and implement communication efforts and change communication activities, events, and projects
• Work editorially to produce and develop content for all of the organization’s communication channels
• Work analytically with follow-up and analysis of results and effects, and help develop new routines and working methods around this
• Provide support, advice, and coaching to employees and managers on various types of communication issues
• Drive development and actively contribute new innovative perspectives and ideas that move the organization forward
• Help develop Värmdö Municipality as a brand

To fit in the role, you need to:

• Have previous experience in communication and change management
• Be an open, engaged, and unpretentious colleague who enjoys varied work and sometimes working at a fast pace
• Take initiative, be proactive, and feel confident in prioritizing
• Have strong language skills and a good sense of graphic design
• Be comfortable working strategically with communication and owning your mandate
• Enjoy having a great team around you and contribute to a positive work environment

For this role, we are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in communication or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways
• Experience in a similar role
• Experience working in a government agency, municipality, or politically governed organization

You will be part of the Communications Unit, which currently consists of 10 wonderful employees. Your personal qualities and determination are crucial for the success of the assignment, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability.
