We are looking for a Payroll Integration Specialist with experience in Workday Core Connectors and payroll integrations. In this hands-on role, you will design, build, and manage outbound integrations from Workday to external payroll systems/providers in multiple countries, systems, and file formats. You will be part of an HR Tech team and work closely with HRIS, Payroll, and external vendors to create robust, scalable, and audit-proof data flows.

Responsibilities:

• Technical lead for the integration track in payroll development projects

• Design, build, and troubleshoot integrations using Core Connector: Payroll, Workday Global Payroll Connect, EIB, and Workday Studio

• Collaborate with payroll providers on requirements/specifications, test files, and problem-solving

• Transform Workday data into vendor-specific formats

• Document mappings, transformations, and integration flows

• Drive end-to-end testing, including parallel runs and cutover validation

• Ensure smooth handover to management with clear documentation

• Propose improvements that enhance reliability, transparency, and performance

Requirements for the position:

• At least 3 years of experience with Workday, including at least 2 years on delivered payroll integration projects

• Strong knowledge of Core Connector: Payroll, Workday Global Payroll Connect, and custom file transformations

• Experience working directly with external vendors (e.g., Strada, ADP, SD Worx)

• Basic understanding of payroll core concepts (gross/net, deductions, payroll periods/calendars)

• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical solutions

• Workday certification (Integration and/or Payroll)

• Experience with secure protocols and file transfers (PGP, SFTP)

• Experience with global payroll integrations is a plus

The assignment requires you to undergo a security clearance according to applicable regulations.
