The Scholarship and Leadership Programs Unit contributes to knowledge building, strengthened capacity, and the promotion of experience exchange among change agents, organizations, institutions, and individuals in Sweden's neighboring areas and globally. The unit organizes leadership programs, commissioned training, scholarship programs, and alumni activities. Our work contributes to the development of new solutions to global, regional, and local challenges and opportunities.

In the role of communicator in the Scholarship and Leadership Programs Unit, you will work closely with colleagues and the unit manager. You will work both strategically and operationally with communication, providing qualified communication support to your colleagues in the unit.

You will make strategic assessments, analyze communication needs, and plan, implement, and follow up on communication and marketing efforts. The efforts aim to inform about the unit's results and attract more applicants for scholarships, training, and alumni activities. To thrive in this role, it is important that you enjoy writing engaging texts and adapting messages for different types of channels.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and support in the communication area to colleagues
  • Coordinating the unit's communication internally and with other communicators in the agency
  • Ordering communication and marketing services from external providers

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in communication or equivalent education
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a communicator (at both operational and strategic levels)
  • Experience working with digital communication in social media
  • Experience in specifying and ordering services from suppliers
  • Experience communicating with an international audience
  • The ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, with good stylistic skills

It is also meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working in a government agency
  • Experience in international development cooperation
  • Experience working with business issues
  • Experience in monitoring digital campaigns, such as Google Analytics
  • Experience in advertising on social media
  • Familiarity with working in WordPress

As a person, you are analytical and have an easy time translating complex information into clear messages. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward in a structured way. At the same time, you collaborate unpretentiously and build good relationships with both colleagues and external suppliers. We will place great importance on your personal qualities.

Duration and Start Date

The position is a temporary contract expected to last from 2026-03-01 to 2027-05-31. It is important that you can start the position in March 2026 for a smooth handover of tasks.

There is an opportunity to work from home 2 days a week if the work allows.
