Job Description

Within the education and job center, we offer labor market initiatives for job seekers and individuals receiving social assistance. Our goal is clear: to enable more residents of Uppsala to support themselves in the long term. In our practical operations, we create job preparation initiatives through work training and special labor market employment. Here, job seekers can work in greenhouses, at a bicycle workshop, or in carpentry; they can work with sustainability in the store Återbruket or at the electronics recycling facility. In this recruitment, we are looking for coaches for the bicycle workshop and electronics recycling.

As an Employment Coach:

• You support individuals in our practical operations on their path to self-sufficiency
• You plan and adapt tasks and activities based on each person's needs
• You work closely with colleagues and collaborate with other units and external actors
• Your daily work is both varied and meaningful – where you see concrete results from your efforts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a high school diploma and experience working with people in vulnerable life situations
• Has knowledge of labor market issues
• Is proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Has a coaching approach and preferably training in motivational interviewing (MI) or supervision.

If you also have experience in labor market issues, it is considered an asset. It is also desirable if you have training in motivational interviewing or supervision.

As a person, you are pedagogical, empathetic, and structured. You have the ability to see people's potential, create motivation, and build trust. You take initiative, are solution-oriented, and enjoy creating and developing relationships.
