As a Care Developer

As a care developer in the Quality Unit, you will be part of the Department of Quality and Patient Safety. You will work closely with other management and support functions within Akademiska Sjukhuset. The unit currently consists of 17 employees and is led by a unit manager – your immediate supervisor. The role includes both operational and strategic work with a focus on quality and patient safety, in collaboration with operations within Akademiska Sjukhuset and the entire Region Uppsala.

Your Mission

Are you interested in care development, quality, and patient safety?

As a care developer, you will be responsible for supporting the entire hospital in working systematically with a quality and patient safety perspective together with your colleagues. You will contribute your knowledge and experiences, and based on common strategies at the hospital, drive development and improvement work with a goal of strengthening employees' and managers' engagement and ability to achieve set goals. Together with your colleagues, you will drive analysis work and provide development and improvement proposals in accordance with the hospital's goals and action plans. You have a good understanding of the connection between quality and patient safety.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a nurse with at least a master's degree. A higher degree is an advantage. Knowledge of change management and patient safety is also advantageous. We prefer candidates with experience in quality and patient safety improvement work as well as project management.

Your Competence

As a person, you are genuinely interested in quality and patient safety as well as improvement work. You are analytical, action-oriented, structured, flexible, curious, and have an easy time collaborating interprofessionally and at different organizational levels, with the best interests of patients in focus. You are methodical, driven, have the ability to prioritize while seeing the big picture, and also possess a pedagogical approach. Good computer skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing are required.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. You are ready to develop care for the benefit of our patients.
