Investigator in Cosmetics and Tattoo Inks
At the Medical Products Agency, we make a difference together. In life and for life. We work for the health of people and animals, for a better Sweden today and in the future. Do you want to work with socially important issues and contribute to ensuring consumers have safe cosmetic products? Are you interested in how legislation meets a rapidly changing digital trading environment? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
Our Operations
The Unit for Cosmetics, Medical Products, and Narcotics is part of the supervisory area and consists of three groups: cosmetics, illegal drugs, and narcotics. We are now looking for a driven and analytical supervisory investigator to work with market control of cosmetic products and tattoo inks. With us, you play an important role in ensuring that products on the market are safe and comply with applicable regulations, and that new sales methods and channels are handled effectively and legally.
The group's work also includes EU work, collaboration with customs and other authorities, supervisory guidance to municipalities, inspection of cosmetic manufacturing, investigation of reports on adverse effects of cosmetic products, drafting new regulations, and responding to inquiries from the public, businesses, and media. Within the group for cosmetic products and tattoo inks, we independently manage cases with continuous collaboration and anchoring with colleagues within the group.
Your Responsibilities
As an investigator, you will collect and analyze information, make scientific and legal assessments, write investigations, and make or prepare decisions. You will follow developments in e-commerce and digital tools and contribute to developing both market control and future legislation.
You will work with supervision and guidance regarding both cosmetic products and tattoo inks. Your work will involve reviewing and analyzing information from both traditional and digital sales channels, applying relevant legislation, and collaborating with other authorities, industry actors, and internal colleagues.
The work is varied and includes many different parts. Therefore, you need to be able to manage multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously and actively prioritize together with your manager and colleagues.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with an academic background in natural sciences or medicine who is interested in the supervision of cosmetics and tattoo inks. You should have experience in investigative or supervisory work, preferably from a government agency, and you should have experience interpreting, applying, and communicating legislation. You should have a good ability to work in digital environments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. We also appreciate an understanding of new digital sales forms such as marketplaces and dropshipping. You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
Your Personal Qualities
You are responsible, have good collaboration skills, and appreciate a modest working style. We strive to continuously develop and improve our working methods, and therefore we are looking for a person who approaches new challenges with curiosity and enjoys participating in and driving change. An important part of the work involves shaping and communicating information, so we see that you have good communication skills, where you can respectfully and clearly discuss and respond to others' questions and requests in both speech and writing. You are structured and solution-oriented, have good self-awareness, and actively contribute to a good atmosphere in the workplace. We place great importance on personal qualities.
