Do you want to help strengthen Sweden's defense capability? Do you have an interest in electrical safety, analysis, and development – and want to work in an organization where both professionalism and innovation are needed? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

The Air Combat School (LSS) is a unit in development, where innovation and modern working methods are a natural part of everyday life. As a safety officer for electrical security, you will become a key player in creating conditions for a safe and secure operation. Here you will have the opportunity to combine proven methods with new perspectives to strengthen the unit's electrical safety work. With us, you will have a meaningful and varied job where you contribute to Sweden's security while being offered great opportunities to develop and influence working methods and routines.

About LSS Support Division:

The LSS support division supports the entire unit with specialist competence in operational safety, working environment, logistics, infrastructure, environment, and IT. As LSS evolves into a war unit, the demands for modern solutions, robust systems, and smart working methods increase – making our division central to the unit's future development.

About the Position

As a safety officer for electrical security, you will have a central and advisory role and ensure that the unit and its entities meet the legislative requirements for a systematic electrical safety work. You will coordinate and follow up on the systematic electrical safety work, handle cases from all operational sites of the unit, and actively work to identify areas for improvement.

In the long term, you will also work with the management and responsibility for the systematic fire protection work at the unit. Responsibility for fire protection work will be given only after you have settled into the work with the systematic electrical safety work and have completed the necessary training related to fire protection work. This training will be conducted during working hours.

In the role, you are expected to contribute both with structure and innovation – to be able to suggest modern solutions, develop existing routines, and translate analysis into practical improvement work.

You will keep the Unit Management updated on the status of the electrical safety work and, in the long term, also the fire protection work and contribute to spreading clear, current, and useful information to all units of the unit.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support managers within the unit in conducting, analyzing, implementing, and maintaining a systematic electrical safety and fire protection work in the operations
  • Conduct training for managers and other staff
  • Ensure that control routines exist and that they are followed by the operations and assist in producing the necessary documentation
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in exercise activities
  • Follow up on deviations in the area and propose measures

  • Approved high school education
  • Several years of relevant experience in administrative work or other equivalent as assessed by the employer
  • Current computer skills and experience with MS Office
  • Good ability to express oneself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Driving license B

Personal Qualities:

To succeed in the position, you need to be driven, structured, meticulous, unpretentious, and skilled at expressing yourself verbally and in writing. The work requires that you can work independently but also together with others. In your role, leadership is required both to lead the internal work within systematic electrical safety and fire protection work and when you represent the Air Combat School externally. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious:

  • Relevant experience in systematic electrical safety work and/or systematic fire protection work
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in electrical engineering, power engineering, or another area deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Experience working in the Armed Forces
  • Experience in training others
  • Knowledge in the field of working environment and its laws, regulations, directives, and requirements regarding working environment and electrical safety legislation
