Department of Social Services Financial Assistance

The department consists of the reception, six investigation units, administration and service, coordination for work, and operational support. The main task of the department is to support individuals towards self-sufficiency and to investigate the right to financial assistance in both new and ongoing cases. The authority conducts development projects and continuously works on method development. Our task is to ensure fair processing, good service, and support for self-sufficiency.

The position will be located within area 1 and in the operational support unit. In operational support, which is a support function for the department, we work with cross-departmental issues, coordination, and systematic operational follow-up. Within the unit, suspected benefit fraud is coordinated and investigated, and we conduct quality follow-ups in the department's processing. The unit is responsible for training in the operational system and we work on the development and management of automation in processing together with the municipality's robotics workshop.

The unit also works with the follow-up of various governing documents and prepares follow-up cases for the management group and the labor market committee. The department's web editors work in the unit and are responsible for the internal website and the documents and news published on our pages. The unit is also responsible for the department's idea sluice. The administration and department have a clear focus on gender equality, which should be reflected in our working methods.

Job Description

As a coordinator, you will be involved in crisis management within the department. You are responsible for ensuring that the department has a good ability to quickly, safely, and effectively handle crises and that the most important functions of the operation can be maintained during disruptions.

Your tasks include updating the department's continuity plan and ensuring that it is applicable in practice. You will also develop a practical continuity plan for employees, with clear instructions on how work should be conducted during disruptions or interruptions, such as when operational systems are down.

You plan and conduct regular exercises in crisis management and preparedness for the entire operation. An important part of your assignment is also to work to strengthen the department's security and to counteract risks to the operation. Furthermore, you will work to ensure that the department has appropriate routines and working methods to meet crises, interruptions, or other disruptions, and you will ensure that the working methods related to security, crisis, continuity, and preparedness follow the municipality's overall direction.

Your assignment may also be supplemented with other tasks based on the needs of the operation, which makes it important that you are flexible as a person.

Security clearance may be applied. The Labor Market Administration allows the possibility to work from home up to two days a week.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree that the employer deems relevant to the role and who has experience working with the design of governing documents. You also have experience or good knowledge of how to develop training concepts and conduct training, and you are accustomed to working in a politically governed organization where you take into account decisions, guidelines, and processes. To succeed in the role, you need to have very good oral and written skills in Swedish and be able to express yourself clearly and concisely in both speech and writing.

Additionally, it is advantageous if you have a university degree in security, risk, and crisis management. It is also beneficial if you have experience in security work or crisis management, as well as experience working within social services financial assistance. If you have worked in the operational system Lifecare, we also see this as an asset.

As a person, you are security-conscious, have high integrity, and a strong ability to handle confidential information. You can drive processes towards set goals and achieve results. Your working style is characterized by clear self-leadership and a very good ability to interpret and analyze complex information.

You are structured, driven, and self-sufficient with a strong focus on solutions and have very good collaboration skills. You think strategically while moving smoothly and sensitively in the operational activity. You are skilled at collaborating in networks, both within and outside the municipality, and you communicate and convey your expertise in a clear and pedagogical manner in both speech and writing.
