Job Responsibilities:

Your main tasks will be related to the research project “The predictive value of psychological testing for labor market outcomes among job seekers.” Within the project, we will collect data from psychological assessments of unemployed individuals, conducted by psychologists at the Employment Service. This data will then be linked to labor market variables from registry data. The assessments include standardized psychological tests of various cognitive abilities, personality traits, and career interests. In the project, we now need help extracting data from the scanned assessments. We have built an interface and a database where specific data from the assessments will be entered reliably, as this data will later be linked to a registry. The project aims to map psychological abilities and resources among job seekers in Sweden, with a particular focus on individuals with weak labor market outcomes.

Qualifications:

To be employed as an assistant, it is required that you are enrolled in undergraduate or graduate education. For this position, the applicant must have ongoing studies in psychology at Uppsala University.

The applicant must also demonstrate good skills in expressing themselves in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Other Merits:

Since the work involves understanding and reading results from psychological assessments with various psychometric tests, it is also important to have knowledge of common tests in intelligence and personality. A particular merit is an interest in psychometrics, standardizations, etc. Furthermore, it is important to be able to work independently and reliably.

Selection Criteria:

In the selection among qualified applicants, program students at the Department of Psychology will be prioritized, as well as students with knowledge of various psychometric tests.

About the Position:

The position is temporary according to HF 5 chap § 12. The current position lasts for about 8 months, and thereafter it may be renewed if needed. The extent is 10-20%. Start date according to agreement. Location: Uppsala
