HR and Finance Unit

The unit consists of three functions (HR, finance, and procurement) that provide qualified support to the agency's managers and employees. The finance function is led by the finance director and is responsible for the county administrative board's financial administrative processes, covering both operational and strategic issues. In addition to the finance director, we have a controller and an accounting economist working closely together.

Responsibilities

As the accounting manager, you will provide support on financial matters to managers and employees. You are responsible for the agency's accounting, monthly closing, and the financial parts of the annual report. You will also drive the work on developing and streamlining financial processes and routines, both within the function and overall for the agency. The role also includes qualified analyses and investigations.

The County Administrative Board uses the Government Service Center for handling purchases and supplier invoices.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university-level education in economics or other adequate education (e.g., vocational training), or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer. You have several years of current experience with qualified accounting work.

Experience working within the government sector with monthly closing and the financial parts of the annual report is an asset. Experience working in the UNIT 4 ERP system is also an asset.

As a person, you work in a structured manner by taking responsibility for your own work and organizing it efficiently. You are also flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances. The work involves many contacts where you provide support in a service-oriented manner. You also have good collaboration skills. You represent the County Administrative Board in a trustworthy manner. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Terms

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period, with a start date to be agreed upon.
