Responsibilities

Your tasks will encompass a range of different responsibilities. You will assist in undergraduate courses in mineralogy, petrology, and tectonics (MPT), as well as support students in both practical and theoretical course components. Additionally, you will participate in administrative tasks related to teaching and, if necessary, contribute to thermodynamic modeling and research assistance. Collaboration with teachers and researchers within the MPT program is also part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

To be employed as an assistant, it is a requirement that you are admitted to education at the undergraduate or advanced level. For this position, you need to have a bachelor's degree in geoscience or a closely related field, as well as a strong interest in mineralogy and petrology. It is also important that you have excellent communication and organizational skills. Fluency in English is a requirement.

Desirable/meritorious

• Previous experience in thermodynamic modeling is highly desirable.
• Teaching experience, such as instruction or supervision, is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant IT systems used in academic environments is meritorious.
• Knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.

About the Employment

The employment is temporary according to HF 5 chap § 12 for four months. The extent is 50%. Start date is February 15, 2026, or by agreement. Location: Uppsala
