The Finance Department is part of the municipal management administration and provides qualified financial support to all departments in the municipality. The department includes controllers, accounting, and financial management. We have 12 employees in the finance department, which is centralized in the municipality. You have the opportunity for hybrid work, where you can combine on-site and remote work.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of school economist focused on the child and education administration, you will have the opportunity to take on a new and broad role. Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Management of state grants
• Inter-municipal compensation
• Volume reconciliations
• Management of meal costs
• VAT compensation
• Other related tasks

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need to have a relevant academic education in finance or a similar education that the employer finds relevant. It is advantageous if you have previous work experience from similar tasks, such as financial accounting.

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable and has the ability to establish good contact with other people. You communicate clearly and ensure and adapt your way of conveying messages to those you meet in your work. The job requires good communication skills, which means that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and structured manner. You need to have a good ability to independently plan and structure your work effectively. We see that you have a willingness to strive to deliver solutions and can quickly change your planning if the situation requires it. The work also requires that you have good computer skills and good knowledge of Excel.
