Description

The position is within the Administration of the Municipal Executive Board and the Department of Secretariat and Security.

The position is divided, and you will work 50% as a committee secretary and 50% as a guide within our Citizen Service. The distribution of working hours may vary over time.

In your role as a committee secretary, you will support the Care Committee and its administration.

Job Description

The committee secretary plays a central role in the political decision-making process by coordinating and supporting the committee's administrative work, which includes everything related to the committee's meetings.

You will work closely with the committee's chairperson and the head of administration, acting as the contact point for the elected representatives towards the administration. You will prepare meetings together with the chairperson and head of administration and then send out documents to the elected representatives before the meeting. During the meeting, you will take notes, write minutes, and ensure they are adjusted. As a committee secretary, you need to have good knowledge of municipal law and familiarity with an authority's case management as well as the laws that must be followed.

The Citizen Service has the main function of being a unified entry point for the municipality's citizens. The Citizen Service acts as community guides with broad expertise, helping citizens find the right information about schools, care, building permits, and other municipal services. As a guide in our Citizen Service, you are responsible for providing advice, information, and guidance and answering questions based on the municipality's services and offerings. You will have direct contact through personal meetings or via phone, email, and interactive channels. You will inform about citizens' rights and obligations. You will guide individuals and provide assistance and support so that they can retrieve information or handle their cases via the website or self-service solutions. You may also work with processing decisions and customer cases.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree at least at the bachelor's level in political science, law, or a similar field relevant to the public sector, or equivalent knowledge from working life.

It is advantageous if you have previously worked in the public sector or with political processes. You have experience in administrative work with high accuracy and knowledge of the Municipal Act, Administrative Procedure Act, and the principle of public access. You have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.

We consider it meritorious if you have previously worked with case management systems. It is also meritorious if you have worked in guidance/customer service and have telephone operator skills.
