Sustainability Strategist for Håbo Municipality
Do you want to help drive Håbo Municipality's climate work forward? We are now looking for a structured and responsible sustainability strategist for a temporary position that extends until December 31, 2026.
This role is suitable for you who have an interest in community development, sustainability, and climate issues, and who want to contribute to shaping the future of Håbo.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Work:
- Lead the work to develop the municipality's Climate Program and associated action plan, within the framework of the municipality's Climate and Energy Program.
- Be responsible for the development of the municipality's Climate Adaptation Program and associated action plan.
- Coordinate and participate in the municipality's work within the EU project CLIMAAX.
- Coordinate the municipality's participation in the national program Viable Cities.
Ongoing Work:
- Respond to referrals, motions, and citizen proposals.
- Participate in a small number of events and activities organized by the municipality.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Academic degree in urban planning, climate or environmental science, or other relevant education.
- Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.
Desirable Experience:
- Project management and coordination
- Strategic climate work
- Development of political steering documents
- Participation in EU projects
- Work in a politically governed organization

With us, you will have a meaningful and strategic assignment where you contribute to shaping the future of Håbo. The role is located in the Technical and Community Development Administration, Department of Planning and Development. The department is responsible for the municipality's physical planning, GIS/Geodata, as well as the management and development of the municipality's land and properties.
You will be part of an engaged and ambitious team consisting of, among others, a municipal ecologist, urban planners, traffic planners, cartographers and measurement engineers, planning architects, and project managers.
