The Unit for Rural and Agricultural Support

The Unit for Rural and Agricultural Support primarily consists of two working groups that handle project and investment support (POI) and agricultural support (JBR). The work involves applying for support, commitments for environmental compensation (JBR), payments, recoveries, and appeals. The unit also works with the inventory of meadows and pastures, supervision of estates in agricultural properties, the national restoration support, as well as the establishment of wetlands and adapted protection zones, among other tasks.

Our work is largely governed by the regulations, routines, and instructions of the Swedish Board of Agriculture, based on the EU's Common Agricultural Policy.

Job Responsibilities

As an Agricultural Support Officer, you will work with the processing of direct support, compensation support, and environmental compensation. You will also staff EVI – One Way In – the joint customer service phone of the County Administrative Board, as well as handle any appeals and manage recoveries.

The work involves exercising authority and contacting farmers. Additionally, the position includes other tasks related to the handling of agricultural support and work within the unit and department.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree, such as a biologist or agronomist, or other education or experience that we assess to be equivalent. You have experience in case management within the public sector.

Experience in handling agricultural support is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have experience with the Swedish Board of Agriculture's systems, such as Jorden, Basen JBR, or customer records.

As a person, you are confident and adapt your behavior to the situation, you are also attentive, clear, and have good collaboration skills. You are focused on your work, act in accordance with decisions made, and set and achieve goals. You represent the County Administrative Board in a trustworthy manner and have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Conditions

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period, with a start date according to agreement. Your job title at the authority will be Agricultural Support Officer.
