The Role

• You are the link between business and the municipality. A large part of the work is based on the municipality's business strategy and the directional goal “Grow sustainably together with business and civil society.”
• You strengthen the municipality's work with new establishments of both small and large companies, and sustainability work, with Agenda 2030 being a guiding principle for your work.
• You collaborate with other functions both internally within the municipality and externally with business-supporting organizations to create favorable conditions for a thriving business community in Heby Municipality.
• You guide and assist companies in their contacts with authorities and other actors. Furthermore, you are an important link in the joint municipal effort to create internship and work experience opportunities at local companies for residents.
• You also work to stimulate entrepreneurship, business development, and industry growth, operating at both strategic and operational levels.
• You lead and initiate networks and groups in local contexts while participating in regional networks.
• Your position is at the Sustainability Unit within the Central Administration, and your closest colleagues work on development and sustainability across various areas.

This position is a temporary contract.

About Us

Together, we at the Sustainability Unit work to strengthen the municipality's sustainability efforts and thus the ability to achieve the 17 goals of Agenda 2030. We have close collaboration both within our unit and with other departments in our municipality, as well as with a variety of external partners in areas such as business, civil society, and public institutions. We at the Sustainability Unit are a competent group consisting of seven employees and one manager. We think and breathe future, development, and analysis. In our assignments, we work with analyzing the current situation and conditions, describing desired long-term development, and suggesting priorities to meet the Municipal Council's directional goals and the municipality's vision. In short, we have our dream jobs.

Is This You?

We are looking for someone with good knowledge and understanding of the conditions and requirements that businesses must adhere to, and we would prefer you to have a background as an entrepreneur.

We want you to:

• Have a relevant academic education.
• Have experience working in a similar role.
• Be a positive, innovative, attentive, courageous, and unpretentious person with an interest in business.
• Be driven, solution-focused, organized, and possess strong strategic and analytical abilities to drive processes forward.
• Be empathetic and able to quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation.
• Have a good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written English and Swedish, as the position involves extensive contact and close dialogue.
• Hold a valid driver's license (B).
