The Finance Department is part of the municipal management administration and provides qualified financial support to all municipal departments. The department includes controllers, accounting, and financial management. We have 12 employees in the finance department, which is centralized in the municipality. You have the opportunity for hybrid work where you can combine on-site and remote work.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of controller focused on the community planning department, you will have the opportunity to take on a new and developing role within the municipality, with a focus on governance, analysis, and development. You will primarily support the planning and development department, which is responsible for the municipality's planning and development activities. In this role, you contribute to steering both projects and the department towards set goals, budgets, and timelines. You are an important support to project managers in financial matters such as follow-up, forecasts, key figures, and calculations. You also act as a qualified support to several managers in the work with operational and investment budgets, and assist in other financial issues.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with financial colleagues who also support the technology and community planning administration, as well as with the department's managers and project leaders. You report to the head of finance.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Responsibility for the financial management process at the planning and development department
• Budgeting and follow-up of the department's activities
• Development of processes for development activities
• Participation in steering groups for development projects in the preparatory phase
• Collaboration with operations, such as water and sewage, related to the responsibilities of the planning and development department

Qualifications

• Relevant academic education for the assignment or equivalent work experience
• Experience in similar tasks
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and experience in communication both externally and internally
• The work requires good knowledge of Excel
• Driving license B

It is an advantage if you have experience with project management systems, such as Antura, and management systems like Stratsys.
