Are you an experienced leader in quality control who thrives in a dynamic and international environment? For a consulting assignment with one of our prominent clients in Life Science in Uppsala, we are now looking for a Head of Quality Control. The assignment is an interim position starting as agreed.

About the Role

As the interim Head of Quality Control, you will have overall responsibility for leading and developing the QC department. You will ensure that all testing activities are conducted in accordance with cGMP, EHS regulations, and internal policies to support product release on schedule. The role involves strategic responsibility for the department's budget and long-term resource planning. As Head of Quality, you will lead an organization consisting of managers and specialists.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

• Leadership: Direct personnel responsibility for managers within QC, including talent management and succession planning.
• Compliance: Ensure that laboratory facilities and equipment meet GMP requirements and medical device standards.
• Strategy & Planning: Responsible for the department's budget, business continuity planning, and participation in Site Master Planning.
• Quality Assurance: Approve method validations, specifications, and sampling plans, as well as manage quality deviations.
• Process Development: Drive productivity through Lean Lab concepts and act as the local Business Process Owner for the global LIMS system.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Analytical Development on method transfers and maintain relationships with external service providers.

About the Assignment

This is a consulting assignment via Randstad with our client in Uppsala. As an interim consultant, you are expected to contribute expertise from day one and ensure stability in the organization during the assignment period.

Qualifications

Your Profile

To succeed in the role of interim Head of QC, we see that you are a senior leader with a strong ability to quickly understand new operations and processes.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience in leadership roles, with at least 5 years as a manager in a QC laboratory in the pharmaceutical industry.
• A degree (master's or equivalent) in chemistry, biology, or a similar relevant field.
• Excellent knowledge of analytical techniques, data integrity, and Lean Lab.
• Experience working with regulatory requirements such as cGMP.
• Fluent in both Swedish and English.
