Treatment Secretary at SiS Youth Home Fagared
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Fagared receives non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse. We have departments in Lindome, Öxnevalla, and Gothenburg.
Job Description
We are now looking for a treatment secretary who will work with our open departments located in Gothenburg and Lindome. The position is based at the Falkgatan department in Gothenburg.
As a treatment secretary at Fagared, you will have a varied and exciting job. This may include working with the youth in the department alongside treatment pedagogues, holding meetings with social services, and planning for the youth's treatment. As a treatment secretary, you are expected to conduct risk and needs assessments, even in other departments than the one you are placed in, which requires good collaboration skills.
The position involves working in a team with other functions such as psychologists, teachers, treatment pedagogues, etc. As a treatment secretary, you are responsible for documentation and treatment planning in consultation with the treatment team. Additionally, you maintain close contact with social services and the youth's network. Since Falkgatan is a transition department, you are expected to handle planning and contact with internal and external stakeholders to drive the youth's cases towards an independent life after placement. This places high demands on independence, the ability to prioritize, and to drive processes forward. You are expected to have a close dialogue with the unit manager and colleagues in the work with the youth's treatment planning.
As a treatment secretary, you may hold the role of deputy unit manager and may be part of the institution's management preparedness, which requires you to be confident in your role as a leader and decision-maker.
Qualifications
The work places high demands on personal suitability, especially regarding interaction. You should have a genuine interest in treatment work, a solid positive view of humanity, and the ability to meet people in vulnerable situations while maintaining a high level of safety awareness. You must be flexible and prioritize tasks as the operations can change quickly. Furthermore, you need to be able to handle a high workload periodically and work both independently and in a team.
Competence Requirements:
- A university degree of at least 210 credits in social sciences/behavioral sciences, e.g., a degree in social work, or a university degree of 180 credits in behavioral sciences, or another higher education that meets SiS guidelines for coordinating/planning treatment work.
- Knowledge and experience in treatment work with youth.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
Meritorious:
- Previous work in compulsory care, documentation experience regarding social investigations, and authority exercise.
- Experience in leading staff and processes.
- Knowledge of legislation within SoL and school operations.
- Experience in collaboration with various authorities.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probation period. Start date according to agreement.
