About the job

The Family Law department is part of the Children and Youth area in Lidköping municipality.

The Family Law department works on behalf of neighboring municipalities, which means that residents in Lidköping, Skara, Vara, Essunga, Grästorp, and Götene turn to the Family Law department in Lidköping. The workgroup consists of seven family law secretaries, one of whom has the role of the lead family law secretary. The workgroup has strong commitment, high competence, and good collegial community.

Job responsibilities

In the role of family law secretary, you will conduct investigations and inquiries on behalf of the court in custody, housing, and visitation matters. You will also handle collaboration and information meetings, establish legally binding agreements between parents, and conduct parenting investigations. You provide advice and support to families in complex situations.

You will receive regular supervision and close managerial support.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work.

It is advantageous if you have experience in family law work or experience in public authority work concerning children and youth.

As a person, you are professional, empathetic, and secure in your work role with a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing.

You are flexible in your working methods and enjoy working independently, taking responsibility, and structuring your work. At the same time, you appreciate collaboration with clients, colleagues, and other actors. We see great value in your ability to maintain a child focus when parents are in crisis and conflict, being diplomatic, attentive, and unpretentious. We place great importance on personal suitability.
