As a part-time substitute with us, you are an important part of the operation and contribute to security and continuity for our customers during the absence of regular staff.

About the position

In the role of personal assistant, you help the customer with what arises in their daily life. Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). Each customer is unique, and the tasks vary based on individual needs.

The work may involve assistance with mobility, personal care, training and communication, as well as daily chores and activities inside and outside the home. You respect the customer's self-determination and privacy and contribute to ensuring that everyday life functions in a safe and smooth manner.

To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important to have good chemistry between you and the customer. Since each assistance is unique, we will find out more about you during the recruitment process to create the best possible match. You will receive information about which customers you may work with and how the work is structured in each assignment.

At Humana, it is important that both you as an assistant and the customer feel secure in the collaboration. Therefore, all new assistants receive a tailored introduction, both to the professional role and to the specific customer you will be working with.

Our customer who currently needs part-time substitutes is an active, wheelchair-bound woman with laughter close at hand! She enjoys doing fun things and is now looking for someone who can keep up with her spontaneous and fast-paced tempo. She needs help and support with most physical tasks that arise in her daily life.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is good at building positive relationships, has a strong commitment, wants to take responsibility, and can easily adapt to new situations. Since all our customers have different needs and wishes, we ask you to respond as clearly and thoroughly as possible to the selection questions – this increases the chances that we can match you with the right assignment.

We are now looking for someone who matches the following:

  • wants to work with a woman in her 60s living in Lindome (Mölndal)

  • has good knowledge of Swedish (both spoken and written)

  • is smoke-free at the workplace

  • has previous experience working as a personal assistant or in a similar role

  • has good physical condition

  • is mature, attentive, and adaptable in your work

It is also an advantage if you:

  • have experience with transfers and lifting aids

  • share some of the customer's interests

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours and employment form

As a part-time substitute, you work as needed. Working hours vary based on the customers' needs and can occur day and night on both weekdays and weekends. We try to match your availability and preferences with the needs of the operation as much as possible.

The working hours are variable day and night, scheduled from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and from 8:00 PM to 10:00 AM (including five hours of on-call duty).

Start date

The start date is immediate or according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a possible employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
