The authority department of individual and family care consists of about 35 employees and is responsible for the authority's operations in the areas of children and youth, contractors, LSS, elderly care, social psychiatry, financial assistance, harmful use and dependency, as well as violence in close relationships.

The unit is organized into three groups: Care/LSS, Adults, and Children & Youth/foster homes. The Children & Youth/foster home group is divided into two teams, each with its own lead social worker. The family home secretaries are part of the same team. The unit managers share leadership for the entire unit.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In recent years, we have invested a lot in building a well-functioning and qualitative foster care system. Our operations have a prioritized and active effort to ensure that foster care is of good quality, to secure the situation of placed children, and to ensure that our foster homes receive the support they need.

Your main tasks will be to recruit, investigate, and guide social services' contractors such as foster homes, contact families, contact persons, and specially appointed guardians. We also have a contracted emergency foster home that you will work closely with.

If we need to engage other organizations for external placements, you will be an active part of investigating and following up on the quality of the execution.

Our operations have a prioritized and active effort to ensure that foster care is of good quality, to secure the situation of placed children, and to ensure that our foster homes receive the support they need.

The tasks involve both working with individual support for the contractors and also working with group activities. You will also be actively involved in shaping the municipality's strategic work with contractors to meet future needs and challenges.

You will have a colleague who also works as a family home secretary, but you will also work closely with the unit's social workers.

The position is a temporary contract with good opportunities for permanent employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education and experience deemed equivalent. We prefer that you have experience in social work, preferably within authority operations and foster care. It is desirable if you are trained in a lasting relationship and have supervisor training.

We expect you to have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and to be skilled at creating a good collaborative climate with both colleagues and contractors and partners. Furthermore, you have a systemic, solution-focused, and coaching approach and working method. In your work, you are relationship-building and possess a good ability to create trusting relationships.

The work is conducted during daytime hours. Some flexibility is needed as we sometimes visit and meet our foster homes in the evening. Shorter and longer travels are also part of the job. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
