The Social Assistance Unit is tasked with receiving applications and investigating the right to financial assistance, striving to achieve the goal of a high degree of self-sufficiency in the municipality. We have a well-developed working method with extensive experience in the team, while continuously striving to improve our work.

Your Mission

We are looking for a responsible person who feels comfortable and secure in the role of an authority practitioner. The work involves investigating the right to financial assistance/social support, and you will primarily work purposefully with the self-sufficiency assignment where the individual, you, and other actors collaborate to achieve the best possible results. Our work is characterized by close contacts with other partners, both within the municipality and with external actors. We are in an exciting development project together with the Employment Unit, where you and your colleagues actively participate in this change work.

In our unit, we have knowledgeable social workers as well as coaching senior social workers and a manager who trust your abilities and competence and help you grow in your profession. Our unit currently consists of 8 social workers, one senior social worker, and one unit manager. We offer you a meaningful, exciting, and varied job in a municipality with short decision-making paths.

Requirements for the Position

You who apply have a degree in social work or similar education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You should have experience in authority practice and thus be well-versed in the legislation of the area. It is an advantage if you have current experience in the area of financial assistance and the self-sufficiency assignment.

A driving license is an advantage.

For employment, it is required that a criminal record extract from the Police is presented and that a background check is conducted.
