JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Floda C, 21 individuals with varying support needs reside. As a support assistant with us, you will work alongside other support assistants, support pedagogues, coordinators, and unit managers to create a safe and supportive environment for our tenants. You will assist them in their daily lives with tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, and finances, but also with maintaining social contacts, planning leisure activities, and assisting with care and authority contacts. Each person with us is unique, and we always tailor our support based on their individual needs and wishes. We place great emphasis on a pedagogical and respectful approach. You will be responsible as a support person for several of our tenants, and will be accountable for ensuring that the support is followed.

Our working hours span the entire day (including sleeping on-call) and working every other weekend is included. We work with an eight-week schedule. Before employment, you will need to present an extract from the Police's criminal record.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, we are looking for someone who...

• Has an education in healthcare and social services, behavioral science, psychiatry, or equivalent education.
• Has experience from previous work within LSS and working with individuals with disabilities.
• Has good experience with low-arousal approaches.
• Is confident, calm, clear, and solution-focused.
• Enjoys varied workdays and different working hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Has experience in development work and in following up and evaluating work efforts.
• Has experience with record-keeping or social documentation.

It is advantageous if you...

• Have further education in psychology, social pedagogy, psychiatry, conversation methodology, positive behavioral support, or similar.
• Can use sign language, sign-supported communication, or other alternative communication methods such as visual supports or conversation mats.
• Have a B driver's license.
• Have worked with individuals with substance abuse or co-occurring disorders.
• Are a newly graduated support pedagogue who wants to grow and develop in the role of support assistant before taking on a dedicated support pedagogue role.
