Senior Social Worker – Youth in Focus / First Line Child Care

Do you want to take a central role in developing early interventions for children and youth? Are you a leader with a social work background and experience in operational leadership? Then this could be the right assignment for you.

About the assignment

As a Senior Social Worker within Youth in Focus, you have overall responsibility for a cross-professional team working with preventive and early interventions for children, youth, and families. The operation is part of the municipality's first line child care and constitutes an important complement to interventions with assistance decisions.

The team is responsible for:

• Meeting places for youth.
• Social workers in collaboration with schools.
• Family treatment within the framework of early interventions.
• Youth workers with preventive and relationship-building assignments.

Your task is to lead, coordinate, and further develop the operation together with another Senior Social Worker, focusing on quality, collaboration, and accessibility for the target group.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and support staff in their daily work.
• Ensure structure, quality, and methodological fidelity in interventions.
• Be responsible for planning, follow-up, and operational development.
• Contribute to good collaboration with schools, student health, social services, leisure, and other actors.
• Work closely with the manager on strategic issues related to first line child care.
• Create conditions for a sustainable and engaging work climate.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a social worker or has another equivalent higher education.
• Has experience working in social services, with children and youth, or in preventive work.
• Has experience in leadership or coordinating roles.
• Has a good understanding of early interventions, collaboration, and first line child care.
• Is structured, clear, and confident in your leadership.
