Command Company Chief for Western Military Region

The Western Military Region (MR V) is one of four military regions, representing a permanent military-geographical division of Sweden's territory. The military region is responsible for territorial leadership and coordination of operations and missions, total defense planning, defense planning, intelligence and security services, as well as support to society. The responsibility also includes production and operational leadership of MR V's five Military Region Groups with ten associated Home Guard battalions. The Western Military Region encompasses the counties of Västra Götaland, Halland, Värmland, and Örebro.

The MR V Staff is located in Skövde and is staffed by both civilian employees and military personnel from all branches of defense. The work is conducted in several dimensions, often within the framework of operations involving multiple branches of defense and allied countries. There is always a need for civil/military cooperation.

In a military region, the Armed Forces and civil society meet. Therefore, we need to understand the role of the Armed Forces, have good situational awareness, and a comprehensive understanding of how society is organized and functions. We also handle tasks that are largely confidential and require a high degree of personal integrity.

Main Responsibilities as Command Company Chief

Start up and lead the MR V command company to create command capability for the region. Lead, plan, execute, and follow up on the company's activities. Responsible for personnel, training, and capability development to ensure operational capability.

Qualifications

• Officer OF 2
• Driving license B (manual)
• Swedish citizenship

Meritorious

• Previous service as a company commander
• Training in command/communication

The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

Work location is Skövde, business trips with overnight stays may occur.
