The Armed Forces is acquiring and introducing the S 106 flight system as a replacement for the S 100D (ASC890). The flight system is based on Bombardier's Global 6000 platform, which Saab is modifying into a sensor and command platform, AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control). PRI Section

The PRI section is a central part of the introduction and is also part of early competence provision within the Armed Forces (FM) organization to be able to introduce the system at the system handover from the Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). The operations will be characterized by method and technology development, unit establishment, training, and planned OPEVAL activities. Parts of the section will also be included in FMV's Verification and Validation activities (VoV).

Group Composition

The group's composition consists of areas that are considered critical for a safe introduction to be carried out. Prerequisites, educational requirements, and tasks are based on experience from previous introductions of flight systems and requirements from manuals and governing documents.

Mission Support Element

In each division, there is also a smaller unit of ground personnel belonging to the Mission Support Element (MSE). MSE supports flight missions with planning, intelligence, and electronic warfare.

Main Tasks of MSE Personnel

As an MSO or EWO in the PRI department, your tasks will include, but are not limited to, supporting the introduction by:

• acting as a competence resource during handover, introduction, and unit establishment of the S106 system
• developing training materials within the framework of LSS OPEVAL activities
• preparing materials and participating in FMV T&E's validation activities
• acting as an educator and instructor during the introduction
• providing user perspectives to the industry's system development work
• monitoring failures and supporting investigations
• being prepared to conduct internships in other similar operations.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Specialist officer training and well-rated service
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
• Driving license B for manual transmission
• Swedish citizenship and approved security and background check

Personal Qualities

The tasks require a high level of accuracy. The position involves collaboration both within and outside your own organization, and you therefore need to be adaptable in cooperation and communication.

Meritorious

• Previous experience in planning, intelligence, or electronic warfare service at the division or squadron level.
• Experience in flight-related operations

Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Armed Forces' combined resources for transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for Swedish personnel in the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
