Combine Your Ongoing Commitment in the Armed Forces

Are you interested in maintaining your engagement in the Armed Forces after your basic training while doing something completely different in your daily life? Then this is the right position for you. As GSS/T, you will serve part-time as a group leader, soldier, or sailor. This means that you will have a civilian job/studies but will come in and serve approximately one to four weeks a year with your combat unit for training, exercises, or missions.

About the Position

We are looking for GSS/T for the 4th Brigade Maintenance Battalion and the 1st Traffic/Transport Command Company. You will serve in the position you completed your basic training in; we are looking for anyone who has completed basic training in the following:

• GSS Instructor - For those who want and have been coached to apply and complete a year as a GSS instructor during the upcoming conscription year.

Qualifications

• Completed/ongoing military basic training or conscription with a passing grade in the position applied for.
• Meets the requirements in FMFysS Level 2 (Multitest 175p & field test 2 km in 13:30).
• Class B driver's license

Personal Qualities

You must have a willingness to serve in your combat unit. You should be able to work in a team but also independently under varying physical and psychological conditions. The changing tasks require you to be flexible and open to other areas of work than your original expertise. You also take responsibility for your physical and mental health, as good physical ability is a requirement for service and combat placement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Temporary employment supported by the "Agreement on temporary employment with part-time service for group leaders, soldiers, and sailors within the Armed Forces." Employment period of 6 years, with the possibility of extension to 16 years. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not currently employed by the authority.

The position will involve call-up 1-4 weeks per year. The first call-up is in weeks 32-33 during 2026.

The Göta Transport Regiment belongs to the army and is the only unit in the entire Armed Forces that exclusively works with logistics.
