Unit Manager and Site Chief

We are now looking for a Unit Manager and Site Chief with the main workplace in Skredsvik. You will report to C GarnE and be the highest representative of C Amf4 at the Skredsvik base.

About the Unit

The garrison unit primarily serves as a supporting unit for other units and formations within the Gothenburg garrison. Our mission requires a broad range of knowledge in various operations. The garrison unit at Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment provides services in the form of defense health, surveillance/operations, maritime transport, operation and maintenance of facilities, as well as shooting and training fields, etc., within the Gothenburg garrison.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations among the operators at the Skredsvik base
• Responsible for shared facilities, training arrangements, and terrain sections
• Building manager according to garrison regulations
• Coordinate security and infrastructure (transport routes and medical care) as needed
• Coordinate other support such as sports and training activities
• War planning for the Skredsvik base
• Supervise GarnE personnel at the Skredsvik base

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• OR 8 Manager
• Driving license B
• Good knowledge of the Office suite
• Experience with administrative work and digital systems
• Ability to express yourself clearly in both spoken and written Swedish
• Swedish citizenship

Personal Qualities

You should have a good ability to collaborate with other departments/companies at GarnE and lead cooperation with other units within the garrison. You have good work capacity and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You take initiative and strive for development and improvements where needed. You have a positive attitude towards challenges and good analytical skills. Since support to other operations is a guiding principle while resources are limited, you need to be flexible and have the ability to prioritize.

Meritorious

• Experience working in a battalion staff or in higher staffs
• Familiarity with the garrison's area and operations as well as its opportunities and limitations

Other

Employment type: Military permanent employment. Individual salary setting applies. The employment begins with a probationary period of 6 months for new hires. Employment rate: Full-time. Work location: Skredsvik but serves one day a week in Gothenburg, Amf4. Travel and evening/weekend duties may occur. Start date: As soon as possible by agreement. Background checks and security interviews will be conducted.
