Air Defense Officer at 5th Amphibious Battalion

Main Responsibilities

Your service as an air defense officer at the 5th Amphibious Battalion will initially involve a 2-year staffing assignment as a development officer at the Amphibious Combat Unit at the Naval Warfare School in Berga, where you will work on implementing an air defense system in the Amphibious Corps. You will closely collaborate primarily with FMV and the industry, as well as with the amphibious battalions in Berga and Gothenburg. You will then be responsible for the implementation of this air defense system at the 5th Amphibious Battalion, including the development of combat techniques and tactical procedures. Your workplace and environment will vary, from the office to the archipelago, where sea meets land, both within and outside Sweden's borders. The work involves developing, planning, leading, and training in activities related to the Amphibious Corps' air defense capability.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Officer's degree or specialist officer's degree
  • Training and experience in air defense
  • Driving license B

DESIRABLE

  • Training and experience in tube artillery air defense
  • Training and experience in radar & combat control within air defense
  • Previous experience in staff service
  • Previous experience as a development officer and in the material introduction process in the Armed Forces

OTHER

Employment form: 100% permanent employment according to the officer's ordinance. Individual salary setting applies. The employment begins with a probationary period of 6 months for new hires.

Work location: Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg.

Travel and evening/weekend duty may occur.
