The 17th Surveillance Boat Company is an amphibious unit and one of two war units belonging to Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment in Gothenburg.

The company consists of company command with staff, Command Troop with Command Vessel, Close Protection Troop, Surveillance Boat Platoon, Sensor Platoon, Boarding Troop, or Troop Troop.

The company specializes in inshore submarine hunting, maritime combat, and boarding.

The 17th Surveillance Boat Company is growing, and we are now looking for you who want to develop in a company with good future prospects.

Main Responsibilities

The position as 1M/MTJC is located on HMS Skaftö or one of the company's surveillance boats. A main responsibility is to lead and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on board the vessel you serve on.

As MTJC, you are technically responsible for the vessel and the equipment on board, and you also lead the security service on board.

Other tasks of varying nature may also occur, such as leading training in the technical area, deck work, and in-depth knowledge of certain subsystems such as weapon stations and ROV.

Qualifications

• SOU with a focus on ship technology
• Mechanical engineering qualification at least level M7
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Approved FM FysS basic level

Meritorious

• Knowledge of PRIO and LIFT as well as RSF
• Service in a similar position

Personal Qualities

As a professional officer in the company, you are required to be meticulous, take initiative, be responsible, have good collaboration skills, and possess good administrative abilities. You should be able to perform well in various environments, on board vessels/boats, in the field, and at the home base, with occasional peaks in workload. During selection, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.

Other Information

Employment type: SO/K, Individual salary setting applies.
Work location: Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg.
Travel and evening/weekend duty as well as exercise days occur.
Start date: By agreement, but no later than June 2026.
