Then take this unique opportunity and apply for the position of training officer at the Training & Exercise Division (G7) at the regimental staff of Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment.
About the Unit
Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment is responsible for training, education, and production of combat units; amphibious battalion, patrol boat company, and units within the naval military base. The main tasks of the Training & Exercise Division at Amf 4 regimental staff involve planning and executing larger joint exercises and coordinating training. Currently, G7 at Amf 4 regimental staff consists of four positions held by professional officers. The function coordinates, in some parts, the entire regiment's and its combat units' needs. The garrison area is spread from the southern archipelago of Gothenburg to the northern part of Bohuslän. The ongoing increase in staff at the various units and formations imposes greater demands for coordination within training and exercises, both nationally and internationally.
Main Responsibilities
We are now looking for a training officer who will coordinate training and participate in the planning, execution, and evaluation of exercises. Your main workplace will be at Käringberget in Gothenburg, but on several occasions, you will be part of the exercise management at other locations or attend planning meetings in various places in Sweden. G7 works together with other departments of the staff, with combat units, and other supporting units at the garrison. The working hours primarily occur during a normal workweek, but there will also be work in the evenings and on weekends. Work supporting voluntary defense organizations also occurs periodically. You need to be prepared to take on additional tasks within your area of responsibility and competence as directed by higher management.
Examples of some of G7's tasks include:
- Coordinate training issues within the regiment and in dialogue with the Naval Warfare School and other naval units
- Process invitations to courses/training and student course registrations
- Participate in the naval staff's long-term exercise planning
- Lead planning for participation in larger joint exercises in the short and medium term
- Conduct evaluations during exercises and manage experiences
- Lead the regiment's support to voluntary defense organizations
- Serve as exercise management during exercises
- Conduct evaluations and assessments of combat units
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Trained specialist officer OR6/7/8 or officer OF1/2 with experience in training coordination and exercise planning
- Driving license B
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish and English
- Approved FM FysS
Personal Qualities
You are positive, solution-oriented, and used to working independently as well as in a team. You should be proactive, meticulous, and appreciate working in an environment with periods of high tempo. You have a humble attitude towards tasks and a good ability to plan and organize your work according to given priorities. The position requires that work can be conducted at all hours of the day and under difficult conditions to evaluate and follow up on combat units during training and exercises. During the selection process, great importance will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
Desirable
- Previous experience in exercise planning
- Previous experience in staff service
- Experience with the amphibious corps' combat units
- NATO training in evaluation of units
- Experience working with the Armed Forces' intranet (EMILIA, PRIO, VIDAR)
- Driver's license for passenger cars and minibuses
- Service abroad

Employment form: 100% permanent according to the officers' ordinance, with a 6-month probationary period upon re-employment. Individual salary setting applies.
