About the unit

The Garrison Unit, GarnE, is primarily a supporting unit for other units and formations within the Gothenburg Garrison. As a Boat Commander, you belong to the Equipment Section, which is part of the Garrison Unit. The Garrison Unit is part of the Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment, Amf4.

 

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities are to plan and carry out existing sea transport operations within the Gothenburg Garrison, together with the rest of the Equipment Section. This includes personnel, cargo, and shipyard transports. You will also plan and partially perform preventive maintenance on our own boats and participate in corrective maintenance work.

You must also be prepared to participate in and support unit exercises, as well as support others on the garrison with other port operations.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Upper secondary education or equivalent
  • Type-trained on Combat Boat 90H and Boat Commander trained
  • Category B driver's license
  • Passed medical examination for seafaring personnel
  • ROC (Radio Certificate)

You have social competence, a service-oriented attitude, and good verbal and written communication skills. Employment type: Fixed-term employment as a continuously serving soldier (GSS/K), 100%

The employment is based on the Armed Forces agreement for the employment of section leaders, soldiers, and sailors (GSS/K). This means a fixed-term employment of up to eight years with the possibility of extension for four years. The employment begins with a six-month probation period.

Access to the position is according to agreement.

Work location: Gothenburg.

Travel in the course of duty occurs, primarily within Sweden. Since operations may take place outside regular working hours, the working time may be shifted to evenings/nights and weekends.

Start date: ASAP according to agreement.
