About the Department

The Intelligence and Security Department (A2) at Skaraborg Air Force Wing consists of about ten employees. The department conducts environmental analyses, security protection analyses, and continuously works on maintaining a situational awareness regarding security threats and implementing security protection measures. The security service contributes to maintaining adequate security protection at the wing.

Main Responsibilities

Here, you will work with varied tasks within the areas of security protection service and intelligence service. Among other things, you will work with the administration of the wing's access control and security reporting. In addition, you will support the preparation of reports, briefings, and assessments and maintain current situational awareness.

You will continuously receive further training in the field and practice in your wartime position.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Military basic training (GU) with approved grades/character references
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• Swedish citizenship
• Category B driver's license (manual transmission)

You have a good ability to work independently when required and take your own initiatives to drive the work forward. You will handle classified security and protection information, which places high demands on your personal integrity.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment as GSS/K (group leaders, soldiers, and sailors with part-time service) for 6-8 years with the possibility of extension up to 12 years according to the Act (2012:332) on certain Armed Forces employment. The employment begins with a probationary period of 6 months.

The position entails requirements for physical and mental capacity. Travel for work and personal training occurs. Since both the position and tasks are linked to a wartime organization, you will also be assigned to a wartime position in our organization. This means, among other things, that you will receive training on what is expected of you during heightened readiness.

Skaraborg Air Force Wing is a versatile and unique air force wing. It houses combat aircraft as well as the Armed Forces' combined resources for transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position-specific training for conscript recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many operations. In Sweden, the operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel at the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
