As an occasional service member, you combine your civilian job or studies with occasional service in the Armed Forces and become an important part of the unit.

Skaraborg Regiment, P 4 operates from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The management is located in Skövde where most of the conscript training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company. P 4 is also responsible for a brigade staff that, in times of crisis and war, will lead large parts of the army's units.
