About the Medical School
The Medical School K 3 trains medics and licensed personnel, primarily for ranger units, and prepares for international missions. The scope of the training ranges from basic anatomy/physiology and individual care to training advanced pre-hospital units and surgical teams. Some parts of the training take place under field conditions where one follows the unit. Main Responsibilities
As a logistics officer at the Medical School K3, you will be part of a high-quality and quality-assured training platform with a long tradition.
In your position, you will be responsible for the school's collective material and support the combat units at K3 with material management for their defense medical units. The work consists of everything from material procurement, maintenance/follow-up, and development. You are also expected to plan, prepare, and conduct lectures, practical moments, and applied exercises, together with other staff. The target group for training varies from individual soldiers and medics to licensed professionals such as specialist nurses and doctors. In the long run, you will participate in and lead development work together with other colleagues.
Qualifications
- Professional officer exam
- Driving license B (manual transmission)
- Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing (Swedish and English)
Meritorious
- Several years of experience in logistics or defense medical positions
- Experience in training and/or leading military healthcare
- Good knowledge of Prio and Lift
- Military driving licenses
- International service
Personal Qualities
The job at the Medical School K3 is multifaceted with several different target groups for training. The work requires that you are confident in yourself and bring experience and competence. You must be comfortable speaking in front of people and managing their different levels of knowledge. At the Medical School, everything from basic defense medical skills to very specialized abilities is taught, from individual soldier care to advanced resuscitation and surgery. We are a workgroup consisting of professional officers, nurses, doctors, and medics. Tasks can quickly vary between preparing and conducting training for medics or trauma teams to engaging in material service. Beneficial qualities include good collaboration skills, flexibility, and taking responsibility for your area of service. Adapting and developing material for the capabilities trained at the school is ongoing work that you will participate in, together with others. You are expected, as you settle into the job, to educate primarily in material service but also depending on your background in the various trainings and exercises conducted at the school.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and powerful units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion. The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be the first on-site during a mission. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
