Officers Instructors Wanted for Hospital Battalion

Defense Medicine Center

The Defense Medicine Center is the Armed Forces' center for the function of defense medicine, located in Gothenburg. Our mission is to provide the Armed Forces with qualified personnel in health and medical care, as well as the development and supply of medical materials and pharmaceuticals. The Hospital Battalion operates as the Armed Forces' field hospital unit with operational capability both nationally and internationally, emphasizing command, logistics, and medical care. The unit also conducts conscription training. The personnel categories present in the unit include medical personnel, officers, soldiers, and conscripts.

Main Responsibilities

As an instructor (OR6-7) in one of the platoons at the training company, your main responsibilities will be to conduct training in various areas of conscription.

The company trains 140 conscripts annually in the areas of logistics, communication/leadership, medical transport, close protection, and medical care.

Your responsibilities as an instructor include, for example:

• Planning and conducting basic soldier training and position training.
• Participating in exercise activities at the battalion.

Qualifications

• Approved specialist officer exam OR6-7
• Driving license B
• Swedish citizen
• Approved medical examination and basic requirements according to FM FysS
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• Training GKÖLAK
• Training SUSA
• Officer training with a focus on communication/leadership, medical care, supply management, technology, or ground combat officer with additional courses in these areas

Desirable Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle licenses
• Instructor training in the following areas:
• Vehicle instructor
• Supply management instructor
• Water instructor
• Catering instructor
• Medical instructor
• Protection guard instructor
• TOS instructor
• Close combat instructor
• Throwing leader

Personal Qualities
