About the Position

As the Deputy Detail Manager at the Training and Firing Range Detail in Skövde, you will be part of a team of six people. You are expected to solve tasks independently, and within this framework, you will continuously work on multiple tasks simultaneously, both large and small. You will work in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines within your areas of responsibility and towards the goals set within each area. You will also provide support to the detail's employees and create conditions for their work through both collaboration and leadership. Management of personnel is included. Relevant training will be offered, if needed, during the employment.

We are looking for someone who

• is currently a manager, has been a manager, or has other documented leadership competence acquired in a way that we consider equivalent, e.g., a leading position at platoon or company level.

About the Training and Firing Range Department

The department consists, in addition to the management located at Skaraborg Regiment in Skövde, of six geographically dispersed subordinate training and firing range details that support the Armed Forces' units with, among other things, training fields, firing ranges, shooting ranges, and other facilities to develop combat units.

Requirements:

• Professional officer
• Driver's license class B
• Good administrative skills including handling commonly used computer support
• Experience as a manager or in a leading position at platoon or company level

Desirable Qualifications:

• Driver's license class C
• Good skills regarding shooting boundary computers
• Good knowledge in FUSA
• PRIO material service
• Operator's license for construction machinery

As a person, you should be able to motivate and, through participation, provide others with what is required to effectively achieve common goals. You have good physical health. You must have good collaboration skills, personal maturity, and economic awareness. You are loyal to decisions made, act selflessly, create participation, and inspire. You can prioritize, plan, and delegate.

The position suits you if you are ambitious and have the ability to understand and analyze complex issues and problems, as well as having a high personal integrity. You find it easy to communicate and create networks, both within the Armed Forces and outside. You switch seamlessly between independent work and teamwork. The position requires a methodical and systematic approach; planning in advance, making clear priorities, and achieving final results on time.

Many of the competencies required to perform the work are not listed in the advertisement; training will take place during working hours in the first years.

• The position is a specialist officer position, level SO6/SO7
• Business trips, both with and without overnight stays, occur, both to support within your own department and to support the FM training activities.
• Physical training is conducted during working hours according to FMfysS.

Skaraborg Regiment, P 4 has operations from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The management is located in Skövde where the majority of conscription training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company. P 4 is also responsible for a brigade staff that, in times of crisis and war, will lead large parts of the army's units.
