Who are we?

The Communications Department leads, coordinates, and develops the municipality's communication – both strategically and operationally. Our mission is to create internal and external communication that promotes dialogue, engagement, and participation while nurturing the municipality's brand. By strengthening the communicative abilities of managers and employees, we provide the entire municipal group with better conditions to achieve its goals.

We work for communication that is open, accessible, and clear, always focusing on the needs of the recipient. It should enable residents to exercise their democratic rights and to use, influence, and develop the municipality's services and support.

In the Communications Department, we are 20 engaged and driven employees. The department is led by a department head along with a unit manager and a team leader.

We are currently in an exciting development phase and are looking for someone who wants to think big, create new things, and help show the way.

Your tasks

In this role, you will coordinate, lead, and develop communication at one of the municipality's seven offices; the Education Office. You will be a close operational support and strategic advisor to the office's director and management team.

You will be part of a group of a total of eight employees, of whom seven, like you, focus primarily on one of the municipality's offices. The work in the group is led by a team leader. The group reports directly to the department head (the communications manager). You will contribute to developing sustainable and effective working methods, working systematically with goals and follow-up, and meeting the needs of the offices in an equitable manner with high quality.

The role may include being a communicator on standby (KiB), which means that you will be on standby and available to communicate during unforeseen events for extra compensation during certain weeks.

Who are you?

To apply for the position, you need to have a university education, other post-secondary education, or other experience that the employer deems equivalent in journalism, media, marketing, or strategic communication.

You have several years of work experience in the communications field and are confident in your professional role. It is an advantage if you have experience in media and press management, crisis communication, and if you have worked in the public sector or a politically governed organization.

• Have experience working with press or media.

• Have experience in change communication.
• Are a stable crisis communicator.
• Are confident and pedagogical.
• Keep up with the world and are good at reading the present.
• Are good at prioritizing, creating sustainable working methods, and contributing your expertise.
• Enjoy a mix of being self-driven and working in a team.

We see it as a positive if you have experience working in these systems: M365 and SharePoint, ViaTT, programs in the Adobe suite, Meta's advertising system (business suite), Retriever, Google Analytics, SiteVision, or other CMS.
