Junior Accountant

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are now looking for a junior accountant on behalf of our client, who wants to step into a broad and developing role. A role where you will receive support from senior colleagues while having the space to take your own initiatives and develop your skills. In this role, you will be an important part of the finance team and work closely with the business in a company where your ideas and drive are welcomed. You will start with ongoing tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, and working in accounts payable via Palette, while learning systems and processes. You will also handle invoicing and support inter-company billing, manage VAT reporting and declarations, as well as work with error logs and manage fixed asset registers. As you grow into the role, you will receive more advanced tasks and take on greater responsibility. This includes participating in monthly and annual closings, reconciling inventory and accrual accounts, and having the opportunity to work with the consolidation of the group's monthly financial statements. You will also be involved in projects and improvement work where you contribute to developing their financial routines and processes – an obvious part of a modern finance team's daily life.

This role is suitable for you who have a post-secondary education in finance, are analytical, structured, and have a genuine interest in numbers and accounting. You can be a recent graduate or have gathered some years of experience – the most important thing is that you want to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment where you can grow step by step.

The assignment is a temporary position for at least 12 months with a chance for extension.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a post-secondary education in finance/accounting
Possibly has some years of experience in similar tasks, which can be from summer jobs, etc.
Genuinely enjoys working with finance.
Thrives on learning new things, working in a structured manner, and taking responsibility
Has good system skills and preferably experience with accounting systems like Visma or Palette (meritorious but not required)
