The Position
As the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for maintaining, building, and further strengthening the Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) group compliance organization and Compliance System as well as managing the Compliance Committee. You are responsible for conducting necessary and relevant risk assessment activities to keep the Compliance System, including policies, updated and relevant, all based on our Code of Conduct. The Head of Compliance promotes our compliance-conscious culture within the group and collaborates with the Toyota Material Handling Europe management. You will work closely with experts from the legal department, HR, Finance, and IT. Our owners Toyota Industries are currently developing their global and pan-European compliance organization, and you will play a key role in that work.
Your Responsibilities will include
- Whistleblowing and investigation: Manage the whistleblowing process and investigations, protect whistleblowers, and ensure timely compliance, incident, and KPI reporting to Toyota Industries (TICO).
- Training, communication & culture: Lead compliance training and communication across the TMHE group, promote a speak-up culture, advise management on compliance matters, and drive continuous improvement through structured communication and high-integrity guidance.
- Risk assessment & controls: Conduct evidence-based compliance risk assessments and implement adequate frameworks aligned with OECD guidelines, prioritizing mitigation and control testing.
- System and governance: Lead and continuously improve the TMHE compliance system - maintaining the whistleblowing framework, aligning strategy with TICO plans, developing clear policies, supervising local compliance teams, coordinating the Compliance Committee, building data dashboards, conducting audits, and ensuring timely resolution of compliance concerns.
